| Petit Verdot |
TECHNICAL INFORMATION |
|||
|
The word
opaque means “impenetrable to light” and refers to the dark, inky,
impenetrable color of our family’s Petit Verdot. Originally from
Bordeaux, Petit Verdot is normally used for blending with other grapes,
such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. We were so impressed by this wine
from our estate vineyard in Paso Robles that we bottled it without any
blending. |

| Heritage (Rhône Blend) |
TECHNICAL INFORMATION |
|
|
Since 1917, San Antonio Winery has won numerous gold medals and international awards for its red wine blends. In keeping with this tradition, Heritage is a Rhône-inspired blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache. Grown in the ideal climate of California’s Central Coast, the grapes are sourced from our family’s estate vineyards in Paso Robles. Each bottle celebrates San Antonio Winery and the Riboli family. The quality of the 2004 vintage was excellent. The weather was ideal with a long growing season that provided great “hang time” for the grapes. Winemakers Anthony Riboli and Arnaud Debons work closely with multiple vineyards from various districts within Paso Robles. All vineyard owners are long-term partners in this process.
Each vineyard lot is fermented
separately to preserve the unique flavors of its terroir. After
fermentation, the wines gain further complexity from aging in an
assortment of oak barrels from numerous French and American coopers.

| Cask 520 (Bordeaux Blend) |
TECHNICAL INFORMATION |
|
|
Since 1917, my grandparents stored the best
wines in a specific redwood tank marked with the number 520. As a
tribute to their tradition, we have made this Bordeaux blend the best
from our estate vineyards in Paso Robles. The original Cask 520 no
longer exists, but each bottle celebrates San Antonio Winery and the
Riboli family.

lot is fermented separately to preserve the unique flavors of its terroir. After fermentation, the wines gain further complexity from
aging in an assortment of oak barrels from numerous French coopers.
